大学の日本語クラブで2年間、部長を務める。

イベント開催など、アメリカの大学生と日本からの留学生の国際交流を行う。

FIA社アメリカ支社と大学の国際交流の橋渡しの一環として、茶道クラブを立ち上げ、部長を務める。

2001年〜2004年　横須賀市役所　国際交流課勤務🇯🇵

国際行事の翻訳、通訳、イベント企画、国際交流行事での司会（フランス・アメリカ・イギリス・オランダ大使館参加）、公文書の英訳、留学生への英語レッスンなど

2001年　表千家遊々会　松本宗紅先生と出会い、弟子入り

2015年　表千家講師免許取得

「茶の湯で英会話」教室の実施

　　動作、道具、茶会、茶事、7事式など

和菓子屋「壺屋」で干菓子の作り方を学ぶ

干菓子作りのワークショップを新宿伊勢丹などで行う

ボランティア活動

・小学校を訪れ、６年生１８０人に茶道を紹介（７年間）

・東京都立工芸高校　茶道部の指導（約5年間）

・週に３回老人ホームを訪れ、陶芸教室を開く（３年間）等

2016年　結婚を機に関西へ移住

2016年より京都で表千家家元教授　松本　英樹先生の元で学ぶ

2017年より中村藤吉本店勤務

Profile 1976 Born and raised in the United States

During University, served as president of Japanese Language club for 2 years. Held: events, study labs to practicing Japanese, and engaged in international exchanges between American university students and Japanese international students.

Functioned as intermediary between university and language training company to facilitate international exchange. Established tea ceremony club.

2001-2004

Yokosuka City Hall International Relations Division Translation, interpretation, event planning, facilitation of international exchange events (participating embassies; France, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands), English translation of official documents, language lessons for international students from Japan, etc.

2001

Met and became apprentice to Matsumoto Sokou Sensei

Implementation of "English Conversation for Chanoyu" class incorporating topics such as: movements, utensils, tea gatherings, tea events, the Shichijishiki 7 special lessons, etc.

Learned to make “dry sweets” at the Japanese confectionery shop "Tsuboya" Held dried sweets making workshops at Shinjuku Isetan and other places.

Volunteer Activities

・For 7 years, annually visited Yokosuka municipal elementary school Sixth grade to introduced tea ceremony to over 180 students.

・For 3 years, visited a nursing home 3 times a week to hold hands on pottery-making sessions. 2016 Married, moved to Osaka

Present Studying in Kyoto under Mr. Hideki Matsumoto Sensei, Professor of Omotesenke Iemoto.

Employed at Nakamura Tokichi Honten, Uji
